Green strain kratom
Green Vein Kratom: the Middle of the Spectrum
Green vein kratom is picked when the central vein of the leaf turns green, after the white vein harvest and before the red vein harvest. That timing produces a profile users describe as clear and balanced, with a light lift at a low dose and more calm at a higher one.
This is the widest colour category in our kratom range. You will find green powder from Thailand, Malaysia, Borneo and Bali here, plus two Maeng Da selections, including Maeng Da Super Green. New to green? Start with a standard origin such as Thai Green. Every product here is for adults aged 18 and over only.

Choosing Green Vein Kratom: Six Strains, One Colour
For many of our customers, green vein kratom is the colour they end up sticking with. Not because it is the strongest, but because its profile is the easiest to steer with your dose. A small amount usually feels fresh and alert, a larger amount leans towards relaxation. That is why green fits more moments of the day than white or red.
What Green Vein Actually Means
The colour refers to the central vein of the leaf at harvest. Young leaf has a white vein, fully mature leaf a red one, and green sits in between. At that stage the leaf contains mitragynine and 7-hydroxymitragynine in a ratio users experience as balanced. The exact make-up also depends on origin, soil and drying, which is why six green strains can still differ from one another.
The Green Strains in This Category
Standard Origins
Thai Green comes from the country where Mitragyna speciosa has the longest tradition of use. Green Malay takes its name from its Malaysian origin and is one of the best-known green strains. Borneo Green and Bali Green complete the line-up. These four are standard leaf powders and are well suited to comparing with each other, ideally on separate days and in the same amount.
Maeng Da Green and Super Green
Maeng Da started out as a Thai selection, developed through grafting into leaf with a relatively high alkaloid content. Maeng Da Green is hand-sorted by colour. With Maeng Da Super Green, super refers to a selection of larger, more mature leaves. Expect to use a lower dose with both than with the standard origins.
Dosing and Using It Safely
With standard green powder, 1 to 2 grams is a sensible first step. With Maeng Da, start at the bottom of that range. Wait 45 minutes before taking more, then increase in small steps of half a gram. Green in particular tempts people to keep topping up, because the effect builds gradually.

Frequently Asked Questions about Green Vein Kratom
What does super green mean with kratom?
Super refers to a selection of larger, more mature leaves. At Dutch-Smart you will find it in Maeng Da Super Green.
Is green vein kratom a good first introduction?
Many people choose green as their first colour because the profile sits in the middle. Start with a standard origin and a low dose, and save Maeng Da for later.
Which green kratom is the mildest?
Standard origins such as Thai Green, Bali Green and Borneo Green are milder than the Maeng Da selections. The differences between them are small and largely a matter of personal preference.
How does Maeng Da Green differ from Maeng Da Super Green?
Both are Maeng Da selections with a green vein. Super Green is made from larger, riper leaves. The difference is subtle, so try them separately at the same low dose.
