Magic mushrooms and magic truffles at Dutch-Smart
Mushrooms containing psilocybin are among the oldest psychedelics in the world. The Aztecs called them teonanácatl, "flesh of the gods". At Dutch-Smart, active since 2011 and HACCP certified, you'll find a complete range: from ready-to-use magic truffles to grow kits, spores and supplies. All products are legally available in the Netherlands and are shipped via PostNL in discreet packaging.
What is legal and what isn't?
Magic truffles are legal. Truffles (sclerotia) are underground storage organs of the fungus and do not fall under the 2008 ban on magic mushrooms. They contain the same active substances (psilocybin and psilocin) and give comparable effects.
Magic mushrooms may not be sold. Since 1 December 2008, the sale of fresh and dried psilocybin mushrooms has not been allowed in the Netherlands.
Grow kits and spores are legal. Grow kits contain colonised mycelium, not fully grown mushrooms. Spore syringes contain spores that do not contain psilocybin themselves. Growing for personal use is in a grey area that is tolerated in practice, but reselling is not allowed.
The range
Magic truffles: Our magic truffles are packed fresh and ready to use. The range runs from mild types (Mexicana, Tampanensis) to the strongest varieties (High Hawaiians, Dragon's Dynamite). The magic truffle calculator helps you work out the right dose based on your weight and the intensity you want. Only for people aged 18 and over.
Truffle grow kits: With a truffle grow kit you grow your own magic truffles. It takes longer than growing magic mushrooms (8 to 12 weeks), but the end product is completely legal. Available in popular varieties such as Atlantis, Mexicana, Tampanensis and Pajaritos.
Magic mushroom grow kits: The grow kits contain fully colonised substrate on which you can get your first harvest within 2 to 3 weeks. We offer several brands and sizes: the standard grow kits (1200cc), XL grow kits (2100cc), FreshMushrooms 100% mycelium kits and the Royale Flush series with exclusive strains. A standard 1200cc kit yields on average 200 to 400 grams of fresh mushrooms over several flushes. The XL kits can yield up to 600 to 800 grams.
Spores and growing supplies: If you want to inoculate substrate yourself, there are spore syringes, spore ampoules and spore prints in various Psilocybe cubensis strains. In the growing supplies category you'll find everything for a successful grow: sterile gloves, vermiculite, perlite, heat mats and thermostats.
Growing magic mushrooms: how does it work?
Growing with a ready-to-use grow kit is accessible for beginners. In broad terms: wash your hands thoroughly and work in a clean environment (contamination is the biggest enemy). Open the grow kit, fill it with water and let the substrate soak for 12 to 24 hours. Pour off the excess water, place the kit in the grow bag supplied and put it in a warm spot (22 to 25°C) with indirect light. Spray water into the bag daily for humidity. After 1 to 3 weeks the first pins appear. Harvest just before the caps open.

Safe use (18+)
Make sure you are in a safe, familiar environment (set and setting). Have a sober trip sitter with you, especially the first time or at higher doses. Always start with a low dose and wait at least 2 hours before taking more. Don't combine psilocybin with alcohol, stimulants or antidepressants. Plan your trip on a day without obligations. Don't use it if you have a mental health condition, a family history of psychosis, or if you are pregnant.
