Mascotte Active Filters white, 6 mm, bag of 200

Mascotte Active Filters white: how a carbon filter works

An active filter looks like a regular tip, but there's activated carbon in the middle. Carbon has a huge surface full of tiny pores, where part of the tar and fine particles get caught as the smoke passes through. You notice it as a cooler, milder draw and a less bitter taste afterwards. Mascotte uses carbon from coconut shells and closes both ends with a cap, so no granules end up in your mouth.

Honest about what it does

A carbon filter makes the smoke more pleasant, but it doesn't make smoking healthy. See it as comfort, not protection. The idea is one filter per joint. After that the carbon is full.
