Jungle Fever - herbal blend for the vaporizer
Jungle Fever brings together five herbs that each play their own role in the mix: wild lettuce, salvia divinorum, catmint, skullcap and wormwood. Wild lettuce (Lactuca virosa) contains lactucopicrin and lactucin, compounds sometimes compared to opiates in terms of properties, although their effects differ considerably. Salvia divinorum supplies salvinorin A, a terpenoid compound that acts on the kappa-opioid receptor, a different target than classic psychedelics such as psilocybin. Catmint (Nepeta cataria) is a mint-like herb that triggers playful behaviour in cats and has traditionally been brewed as a calming tea for people. Skullcap (Scutellaria lateriflora) has been brewed as a soothing tea for generations. Wormwood (Artemisia absinthium) is one of the bitterest herbs in European tradition, known as the main ingredient of absinthe; it contains thujone, a compound that can be neurotoxic at high concentrations.
Dosage
Because Jungle Fever combines several active herbs, including the fast-acting salvia divinorum, it is wise to start small, for example a lightly filled vaporizer chamber, and build up from there. When vaporized, salvia divinorum typically takes effect within seconds to a minute and the effects are short-lived, usually lasting a few minutes. Combining with alcohol is not recommended.
Use
Heat a small amount of the blend in a vaporizer until it reaches vaporising temperature and inhale the vapour. Jungle Fever is not intended for smoking or brewing as tea; the blend is specifically formulated for use in a vaporizer.
Storage
Store the blend in a dark, dry, airtight container, out of reach of children, to preserve its aroma and active compounds as well as possible.
