Myco MV-100 Mini - precision scale 100 x 0.01 grams
Myco is the entry-level line from On Balance, the brand that also supplies the CL-300 Calculator scale sold at Dutch-smart. Where the CL-300 hides its weighing plate behind a calculator lid, the MV-100 Mini goes for a simpler, more compact design: a rectangular housing whose lid folds open into a weighing tray. The result is a light device that slips easily into a jacket pocket or case without giving up accuracy.
The weighing range runs up to 100 grams with a readout accuracy of 0.01 grams, precise enough for small quantities of herbs, supplements or other light materials. The LCD screen has a calm, slightly retro green glow that stays readable even in dimmer light.
Use and maintenance
Fold the lid open, place the material to be weighed on the tray, and read off the result. Use the tare function to zero out the weight of a bowl or bag first, so you only weigh the contents. The overload protection guards the sensor if you accidentally load too much weight onto the plate. Clean the tray with a dry or slightly damp cloth and avoid contact with liquids. The two required AAA batteries are included.
