Natural - Satya, 15 grams
Satya was founded in 1964 in Bangalore by K.N. Satyam Setty, who was the first to develop the Nag Champa recipe: a masala incense built on sandalwood, tree resin and the champa flower (Magnolia champaca). The company, formally Shrinivas Sugandhalaya, grew into one of India's best-known incense makers and still produces its sticks using the traditional masala method, kneading aromatic ingredients into a paste and hand-rolling them onto a bamboo stick. Beyond loose incense sticks, Satya also makes dhoop sticks, incense cones and scented sachets on the same sandalwood-and-resin base, and the company is now run by the founder's grandson.
This Natural variant is a milder option within the Satya range: less sweet and spiced than the standard Nag Champa, with a softer, more natural scent impression. The sandalwood and champa flower base stays recognisable, but without the heavier spice notes found in some of Satya's other scents.
Use
Stand the stick upright in an incense holder with an ash catcher. Light the tip, let it burn briefly and blow out the flame; the stick will then keep smouldering. Ventilate the room and place the holder on a heat-resistant surface, away from flammable material.
Storage
Store the sticks dry, in the sealed pack and out of direct sunlight, so the scent stays intact as long as possible. Moisture makes the sticks burn unevenly.
